You know, after I watched the movie, I'd imagine that over the course of the movie, from Cujo's point of view, after being bitten by the stupid bat, he would start to experience symptoms similar to schizophrenia and vivid hallucinations, both auditory and visual. Eventually, these cause him to develop a superiority complex, which evolves into both megalomania and a god complex that rear their ugly heads after he kills Joe. After waking up after being stabbed by Donna, the god complex almost instantly transforms into a Messiah complex, with Cujo believing that all would be saved after being treated to the same 'enlightenment' that he went through.
