Chapter 5: The Lie

“The horrible riots that started in the morning of the past Saturday have been finally controlled by our heroic forces of security, and supported by the army. After a bloody battle against the savage rioters, and with the purpose to bring peace back again at the neighborhood of Montmartre, we have lost 138 men, and there are more than 240 wounded. Their sacrifices only strengthen our compromise with the defense of democracy and its institutions. We'll never give up against blackmail or the violence of those who can't understand the most basic rules of civilization, doesn't matter where they come from!

About the rioters, who from now on I’ll refer, without any doubt or remorse, as bloody and inhuman terrorists, they have 580 wounded and dead. We are now at the first stages of the investigation, we think they came from all over France and Europe, armed as real guerrilla forces and with the objective of create huge incidents in the metro of Paris, and being able to blackmail the legitimate government of the French people.

These incidents have been so dire that this same morning I’ve passed at the National Assembly new laws, which have as objective strengthen our democratic system against the terrorist menace. This way, the development of the investigation is now in the hands of a special police force, created to this purpose: the AUZ (Antiterroriste Unité Zero). Now all the processes will be faster, and we, as nation, are protected against terrible and antidemocratic demonstrations. Also, there are some rights that are going to be suspended for a short time, to help regain complete control of the situation an avoid problems that could help our enemies in this dire moments.

Capítulo 5. La Mentira.

"Los terribles disturbios que comenzaron en la mañana del pasado sábado día 9 han sido totalmente controlados por nuestras heroicas fuerzas de seguridad, apoyados por el ejército. En una lucha sin cuartel contra los salvajes manifestantes por devolver el barrio de Montmartre y sus alrededores a la normalidad, hemos perdido a 138 hombres, y han resultado heridos más de 240. Su sacrificio no hace sino apuntalar nuestra más firme defensa de la democracia y sus instituciones. Jamás cederemos al chantaje o la presión violenta de los que no entienden las más básicas reglas del juego, ¡venga de donde venga!

En cuanto a los manifestantes, a los que a partir de este momento voy a denominar, sin resquicio a la más mínima duda, terroristas, sanguinarios e inhumanos, se cuentan en 580 sus bajas. Aunque estamos en la primera fase de la compleja investigación, creemos que procedían de toda Francia y Europa, armados y organizándose como verdaderos comandos guerrilleros para crear disturbios de gravedad en el metro de París y presionar así al legítimo gobierno del pueblo francés.

Dada la extrema gravedad de estos incidentes, esta misma mañana se ha aprobado de urgencia por la totalidad de la Asamblea Nacional una serie de leyes cuya finalidad es fortalecer nuestro sistema democrático frente a actos terroristas. De esta forma, las pesquisas sobre lo ocurrido y su posterior seguimiento recaerán en un grupo policial con atribuciones especiales creado a tal efecto. La denominada AUZ (Antiterroriste Unité Zéro). De esta forma se agiliza el proceso y, como nación, nos blindamos ante monstruosas conductas antidemocráticas. De igual forma, quedan suspendidas temporalmente una serie de libertades en pos de obtener un control completo sobre la situación, y no permitir fisuras que ayuden a nuestros enemigos en estos momentos de sobrecogimiento."
